Microstructure of fusion and heat affected zone, welding stresses, pre and post treatments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-II : Learning Objective:<\/strong> To know the advantages and disadvantages of different types of welding processes.\u00a0Advantages, disadvantages and field of application of the welding with reference to the following welding processes, Gas welding, Arc welding, submerged arc welding, TIG, MIG, Plasma arc welding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT III : Learning Objective:<\/strong> To understand latest methods of welding.<br \/>\nElectron Beam welding (including EMPOR) spot-welding, Laser welding, diffusion welding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-IV : Learning Objective:<\/strong> The topic throws some light on welding of stainless steels and their welding defects.\u00a0Welding of structural steel, welding of cast iron, welding of stainless steel and other high-alloyed steels.
