Netting analysis of composite materials, determination of properties of laminates with fibers and matrices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-II<\/strong> : Stress-Strain relations of Isotropic, Orthotropic and Anisotropic materials, transformation of material properties for arbitrary orientation of fibers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-III :<\/strong> Methods of Analysis: Mechanics of materials approach to determine Young\u2019s modulus, Shear Modulus and Poisson\u2019s ratio, brief mention of elasticity approach and Macro mechanics of laminates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-IV<\/strong> : Anisotropic elasticity, stress \u2013strain relations in material coordinates &#8211; Transformation of geometric axes, strength concepts, Biaxial strength theories, Maximum stress and Maximum strain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-V :<\/strong> Analysis of laminated plates: Classical plate theory, Classical lamination theory \u2013 Special cases of single layer, symmetric, anti-symmetric &amp; unsymmetrical composites with cross ply, angle ply lay up.
