text-align:center;\">\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1181153414625576\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9648548092\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong> To impart practical knowledge on automobile working, Servicing and maintenance of selected components, and to calibrate the measuring devices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Any six experiments from each section<\/p>\n<p><strong>Section-I<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING LAB<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dismantling and assembly of LMV components as following :<br \/>\na) Gear box b) clutch assembly c) Propeller shaft d) differential gear box e) rear axle t) suspension system g) steering mechanism.<\/li>\n<li>Dismantling and assembly of door frames, door locks and window locks<\/li>\n<li>Study of driver&#8217;s seat layout in anyone LMV and anyone HMV.<\/li>\n<li>Testing, servicing and charging of batteries<\/li>\n<li>Servicing of generator, alternator and starter motor with dismantling, testing, inspection and assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Servicing of ignition systems<\/li>\n<li>Drawing of general electrical wiring diagrams of various vehicles { two and four wheelers )<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of micrometer, measurement of plain plug, measurement of plain ring gauge, taper gauge<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of taper using sine bar and other instruments.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of base circle diameter and tooth thickness of spur and helical gears<\/li>\n<li>Use of slip gauges, measurement of screw threads using screw thread micrometer, use of comparators, experiments involving profile projectors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Driving practice of a geared two wheeler and anyone LMV for a minimum of 10 hours duration need to be provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Section-II<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> INSTRUMENTATION LAB<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Calibration of Pressure Gauges<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of transducer for temperature measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Study and calibration of LVDT transducer for displacement measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of strain gauge for temperature measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of thermocouple for temperature measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of capacitive transducer for angular displacement.<\/li>\n<li>Study and calibration of photo and magnetic speed pickups for the measurement of speed.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of resistance temperature detector for temperature measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Study and calibration of a rotometer for flow measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Study and use of a Seismic pickup for the measurement of vibration amplitude of an engine bed at various loads.<\/li>\n<li>Study and calibration of Mcleod gauge for low pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Course outcome:<\/strong> After completing the course the learner will be in a position to servicing the generators and batteries and ignition systems and is expected to wellverse with various calibrated the devices.<\/p>\n<div class=\"a9916ad81d5189659b0bfae0b37c143c\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none;
