beauty, expressiveness, functionalism, economy- good taste &#8211; meaning and importance- developing skill in aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-II :<\/strong> Designs- concepts, meaning, purpose, types &#8211; structural and decorative characteristics, forms to function relationship, elements of designs &#8211; line and direction, form and shape, size, colour, light, pattern, texture and space &#8211; application of elements to form designs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-III :<\/strong> Application of colour harmonies in the interiors and exteriors \u2013effects of light on colour, Illusion of colour, psychology of colour, effect of colour on each other-uses and application of colours- walls, wall finishes, ceilings, roofs, decorative exteriors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-IV :<\/strong> Importance of lighting \u2013 artificial lighting &#8211; light sources, types and uses of light, specific factors in lighting- measurements of lighting, psychological aspects of light, glare, types of glare and prevention\u2013 selection of lamps, lighting fixtures, lighting for various areas and activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT-V :<\/strong> Principles of design \u2013 balance, rhythm, emphasis, harmony, proportion &#8211;
