Sensors and platforms: Introduction, types of sensors, airborne remote sensing, spaceborne remote sensing, image data characteristics, digital image data formats-band interleaved by pixel, band interleaved by line, band sequential, IRS, LANDSAT, SPOT.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT \u2013 II : Image analysis:<\/strong> Introduction, elements of visual interpretations, digital image processing- image preprocessing, image enhancement, image classification, supervised classification, unsupervised classification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT \u2013 III : Geographic Information System:<\/strong> Introduction, key components, application areas of GIS, map projections.
