This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed syllabus for Control System Engineering lab-I M.Tech 2017-2018 (R17) first year first sem is as follows.<\/p>\n<p>M.Tech. I Year I Sem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To acquire knowledge on control aspects of an electrical system.<\/li>\n<li>To become familiar with the use of simulation tools for the purpose of modeling, analysis and design of systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Course Outcomes:<\/strong> Student will be able to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent various discrete time systems<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the given system by Transfer function and state space approach using suitable software.<\/li>\n<li>Design various controllers and compensators to improve system performance and test them in the laboratory as well as using suitable software.<\/li>\n<li>To model a given system and its stability Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>List of Experiments:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Development of schematic Model of a dynamical system (Motor\/Generator\/ Power System etc)<\/li>\n<li>Obtain the dynamic response of a continuous system and comment on the effect of parameter variations.<\/li>\n<li>Time-Domain Analysis, Error\u2013Analysis, Stability Analysis in Continuous and Discrete domains.<\/li>\n<li>Stability Analysis (Bode, Root Locus, Nyquist) Of Linear Time Invariant System in discrete domain<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation Of The Effect Of Additional Poles And Zeroes On Time Response Of Second Order System and its stability<\/li>\n<li>Design of Digital controllers (P, PI, PID Controllers)<\/li>\n<li>Design of Digital Compensators.<\/li>\n<li>Design of State Feedback Controllers and Observers<\/li>\n<li>Conversion of State Space Model into Classical Transfer Function and Vice Versa.<\/li>\n<li>Simulation Of A Closed Loop System(Plant And Compensator) for discrete systems<\/li>\n<li>Obtain the phase portraits for non linear system represented by x\u0307 = f(x) and comment on the aspects of stability for various initial conditions on phase plane.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain the describing function for a given nonlinearity over the different sets of range amplitudes for a fixed frequency.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain the limit cycle time response and phase plot for stable and unstable vanderpol\u2019s equation<\/li>\n<li>Estimation of parameters Using Recursive Least Squares Estimator.<\/li>\n<li>For a given discrete plant representation in state space.
