I Year I Sem.\r\n\r\n<strong>List of Experiments: (Minimum of 10 experiments shall be conducted)<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Synthesis and characterization of the following drugs:<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Benzanilide by Beckmann rearrangement<\/li>\r\n \t<li>4-Benzylidene-2-methyloxazol-5-one (or) azalactone<\/li>\r\n \t<li>N-(m-Nitrobenzyl) aniline from m-nitrobenzaldehyde<\/li>\r\n \t<li>2, 3-Diphenyl quinoxaline<\/li>\r\n \t<li>1H-Indole-3-carboxaldehyde<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3, 4-Dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one from benzaldehyde, ethyl acetoacetate and urea in presnce of CaCl2 (catalyst).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Schiff base by microwave irradiation<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cinnamic acid by Perkin reaction<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u03b2-Ddimethylaminopropiophenone hydrochloride (Mannich base)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>2-Phenyl indole<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Dimedone (5,5-dimethyl cyclohexane-1,3-dione)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3-Bromo cyclohexene from cyclohexene using NBS.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>p-Amino benzyl alcohol from p-amino benzaldehyde using sodium borohydride.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cyclohexane-2,5-dicarboxylic acid from benzoic acid (hydrogenation).<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Any other relevant experiments based on theory.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>REFERENCES:<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Roth HJ, Kleemann A.
