III Year II Sem. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0L\/T\/P\/C<br \/>\nCourse Code:MT605PC \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 0\/0\/3\/2<br \/>\nPre-requisites: To give the exposure to usage of software tools for design and\u00a0manufacturing. To acquire the skills needed to analyze and simulate engineering systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Objectives:<\/strong> To be able to understand and handle design problems in a systematic\u00a0manner. To be able to apply CAD in real life applications. To be understand the basic\u00a0principles of different types of analysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Outcomes:<\/strong> To understand the analysis of various aspects in of manufacturing design<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> conduct any TEN exercises from the list given below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Drafting: Development of part drawings for various components in the form of\u00a0orthographic and isometric. Representation of dimensioning and tolerances.<\/li>\n<li>Part Modeling: Generation of various 3D Models through Protrusion, revolve, sweep.\u00a0Creation of various features. Study of parent child relation. Feature based and Boolean\u00a0based modeling and Assembly Modeling. Study of various standard Translators. Design\u00a0of simple components.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of deflection and stresses in 2D and 3D trusses and beams.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of deflections, principal and Von-mises stresses in plane stress, plane\u00a0strain and Axi-symmetric components.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of stresses in 3D and shell structures (at least one example in each case)<\/li>\n<li>Estimation of natural frequencies and mode shapes, Harmonic response of 2D beam.<\/li>\n<li>Study state heat transfer analysis of plane and axi-symmetric components.<\/li>\n<li>Development of process sheets for various components based on Tooling and Machines.<\/li>\n<li>Development of manufacturing defects and tool management systems.<\/li>\n<li>Study of various post processors used in NC Machines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=ini.istudy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Download iStudy Android App for complete JNTUH syllabus, results, timetables and all other updates.
