  2. Study of morphology of different microbes<\/li>\n
  3. Preparation of various culture media, cultivation of microbes and observation of colony\u00a0characteristics.<\/li>\n
  4. Sterilization techniques (moist and dry heat) and their validations.<\/li>\n
  5. Aseptic transfer of culture into different types of media.<\/li>\n
  6. Characterisation of microbes by staining techniques (simple, gram\u2019s, acid fast and negative\u00a0staining).<\/li>\n
  7. Study of motility of bacteria by hanging drop method.<\/li>\n
  8. Characterization of microbes through Bio chemical reactions:
    \na. Indole test.
    \nb. Methyl red test.
    \nc. Voges proskauer test.
    \nd. Starch hydrolysis test.
    \ne. Fermentation of carbohydrates.<\/li>\n
  9. Isolation of pure cultures by streak plate, spread plate & pour plate techniques.<\/li>\n
  10. Enumeration of bacteria by pour plate\/spread plate technique<\/li>\n
  11. Enumeration of bacteria by direct microscopic count.<\/li>\n
  12. Evaluation of any disinfectant by phenol coefficient test<\/li>\n
  13. Study of Oligodynamic action (of metals on bacteria)<\/li>\n
  14. Preservation of microrganisms (slant and stab cultures)<\/li>\n
