\nPre Requisites: Engineering Geology Theory<\/p>\n

Course Objectives:<\/strong> The object of this lab is that to provide practical knowledge about\u00a0physical properties of minerals, rocks, drawing of geological maps, showing faults,\u00a0uniformities etc.<\/p>\n

Course Outcomes:<\/strong> At the end of the course, the student will be able to:\u00a0Identify the various rocks, minerals depending on geological classifications<\/p>\n

  1. Study of physical properties and identification of minerals referred under theory.<\/li>\n
  2. Megascopic description and identification of rocks referred under theory.<\/li>\n
  3. Microscopic study of rocks.<\/li>\n
  4. Interpretation and drawing of sections for geological maps showing tilted beds, faults,\u00a0uniformities etc.<\/li>\n
  5. Simple Structural Geology problems.<\/li>\n
  6. Electrical resistivity meter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    3. Interpretation of a Geological map along with a geological section.<\/li>\n
    4. Simple strike and Dip problems.<\/li>\n
    5. Microscopic identification of rocks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
