Introduction to Finite Element Method – Basic Equations in Elasticity Stress – Strain equation – concept of plane stress – plane strain advantages and disadvantages of FEM. Element shapes – nodes – nodal degree of freedom Displacement function – Natural Coordinates – strain displacement relations.<\/p>\n
