Course Objectives<\/strong>: This course is designed to impart a fundamental knowledge on the structure\u00a0and functions of the human body .The overall anatomy and physiology of organ systems and\u00a0their coordination are being dealt.<\/p>\n Course Outcome:<\/strong> Describes the structure and functions of various organs of the human body\u00a0and mechanisms in the maintenance of normal functioning and disease state are knows.<\/p>\n UNIT I<\/strong><\/p>\n Scope of Anatomy and Physiology<\/strong> and basic terminology used in these subjects. Structure of\u00a0cell, its components and their function. Elementary tissues of the human body: epithelial,\u00a0connective, muscular and nervous tissues, their sub- types and characteristics. Body fluids,\u00a0Homeostasis<\/p>\n Skeletal system<\/strong>: Structure, composition and functions of skeleton, classification of joints, types of\u00a0movements at joints,<\/p>\n Skeletal muscles<\/strong>: Gross anatomy, physiology of muscle contraction, physiological properties of\u00a0skeletal muscles and their disorders.
