Ecology & Environment:<\/strong> Nature of ecosystems, Energy flow in ecosystems-energy fixation by Autotrophs –\u00a0Energy beyond the producers, Biogeochemical cycles and ecosystems, Ecology of populations – population growth\u00a0– age structure – equilibrium level, Dynamics of ecological communities.<\/p>\n Microbiology:<\/strong> Major characteristics of microorganisms – bacteria – Fungi, molds and yeasts – algae – protozoa \u2013\u00a0Viruses. Cultivation of microorganisms- aerobic and anaerobic cultivation, isolation, enumeration and preservation\u00a0of microorganisms. Control of microorganisms – physical and chemical agents.
