  1. The purpose of the course is to enrich the previous knowledge of database systems and exposing the need for distributed database technology to confront with the deficiencies of the centralized database systems.<\/li>\n
  2. Introduce basic principles and implementation techniques of distributed database systems.<\/li>\n
  3. Equip students with principles and knowledge of parallel and object-oriented databases.<\/li>\n
