I Year II Sem.\r\n\r\n<strong>Course Objectives:<\/strong> To impart knowledge on different methods of mix design and also methods of testing hardened concrete.\r\n\r\n<strong>Course Outcomes:<\/strong> The learner will be able to correlate the results of destructive and non destructive testing.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Concrete mix design by BIS, ACI and BS method-proportioning, batching, mixing, modeling of specimens for compression, modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture-testing of specimens as per relevant codes of practice (Comparative study).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Development of correlation between Non-Destructive and Destructive tests using Rebound Hammer &amp; UPV instruments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Influence of following parameters on NDT reading-experimental observations.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Aggregate Cement Ratio.\r\nWater Cement Ration.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excess\/Deficient Cement.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excess\/Deficient Water.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Aggregate type.\r\n(Some of the above parameters may be considered depending upon time)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strain and deflection measurement for a structural member under single point\/ two point loading- crack propagation observation.
