I Year II Sem.\r\n\r\n<strong>Course Objectives:<\/strong> To impart knowledge on different types of concrete and to effectively recycle and reuse waste materials.\r\n\r\n<strong>Course Outcomes:<\/strong> The learner will be able to use different types of concrete for different purposes\r\n\r\n<strong>UNIT- I :<\/strong> Light weight aggregate concrete &#8211; fiber reinforced concrete &#8211; High strength concrete.\r\n\r\n<strong>UNIT- II :<\/strong> Changes in concrete with time, Corrosion of rebars in concrete- control measures.\r\n\r\n<strong>UNIT- III :<\/strong> Different Industrial waste materials \u2013 their usage in concrete \u2013study of properties.\r\n\r\n<strong>UNIT- IV :<\/strong> Effects of temperature on Concrete- high temperature &#8211; Ferro-cement \u2013 advantages and properties and strength.\r\n\r\n<strong>UNIT- V :<\/strong> Polymers &#8211; Fibre reinforced plastic in sandwich panels &#8211; Adhesives and sealants.
