Different law of thermodynamics, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions, importance of pH and drug\u00a0research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT I<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical properties of Drug Molecules: Dielectric constant induced polarization, dipole moment, refractive index\u00a0and molar refraction and optical rotatory dispersion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNIT II<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase equilibria and the phase rule<\/strong>:- System containing single component, System containing two component,\u00a0two component system containing solid and liquid phases, three component systems<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thermodynamics<\/strong>: The first law of thermodynamics. The second law of thermodynamics. The third law of\u00a0thermodynamics, Free energy functions and applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNIT III<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Solutions of Electrolytes:<\/strong> Properties of solutions of electrolytes. The Arrhenius theory of electrolyte\u00a0dissociation.
