Course Objectives:

To make familiar students with reservoir fluid and rock properties such as Porosity, Permeability, Saturation, Wettability, Viscosity, Contact Angle, Surface Tension and Interfacial Tension

Course Outcomes:

The students should be in a position to

  • predict the type of rock
  • find out the amount of hydrocarbon in the reservoir
  • determine the amount of recoverable hydrocarbon
