Analysis and Design of Signal Conditioning Circuits Detailed Syllabus for Embedded Systems M.Tech first year first sem is covered here. This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.

The detailed syllabus for Analysis and Design of Signal Conditioning Circuits M.Tech 2017-2018 (R17) first year first sem is as follows.

M.Tech. I Year I Sem.

UNIT -I : Design of Signal Conditioning Circuits: Design of V/I Converter and I/V Converter, Analog and Digital filter design and Adaptive filter design, Signal conditioning circuit for pH measurement, Airpurge Level Measurement, Signal conditioning circuit for Temperature measurement- Thermocouple, RTD and Thermistor, Cold Junction Compensation and Linearization – Software and Hardware approaches.

UNIT -II : Signal Conditioning for Resistive Sensors: Measurement of resistance, Voltage dividers, Wheatstone bridge, Balance and deflection measurements, Sensor bridge calibration and compensation instrumentation amplifiers.

UNIT -III : Signal Conditioning for Reactance Variation Sensors: Problems and alternatives, AC bridges, Carrier amplifiers- Application to the LVDT, Variable oscillators, Resolver-to-digital and digital-toresolver converters.

UNIT -IV : Signal Conditioning for Self-Generating Sensors: Chopper and low-drift amplifiers, Offset and drifts, Amplifiers- Electrometer amplifiers, Charge amplifiers, Noise in amplifiers.

UNIT -V : Design of Transmitters, Alarm & Annunciation Circuits: Study of 2wire and 4 wire transmitters–
Design of RTD based Temperature Transmitter, Thermocouple based Temperature Transmitter, Capacitance based level Transmitter and Smart Flow Transmitters, Alarm and Annunciation circuits using Analog and Digital circuits.
