Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, the student will have the ability to:
- CO1: Solve D.C. circuits and Choose proper measuring instruments depending on the purpose.
- CO2: Know the working and construction of D.C.Generators.
- CO3: Summarize the characteristics of a.c. waveforms, interpret and solve their effects in 1-phase and 3-phase circuits.
- CO4: Relate the concepts of Electromagnetism to explain the concepts of Induced E.M.F..
- CO5: Know the principle and construction of A.C. motors and alternators.
- CO6: Correlate the induced E.M.F. concepts to explain the construction and working of D.C.machines and A.C.machines.
Unit 1 DC circuits and Measuring instruments Duration: 10 periods
- Solutions of D.C. series, parallel circuits- Kirchoffs laws – Electrical Instruments- ammeter, voltmeter, Megger, multi meter and energy meter (single phase).
