UNIT 3:Principles and instruments in compass surveying

1. Introduction, Purpose, principle and uses of compass Survey Description working and use of Prismatic compass
2. Concept of Meridian-Types of meridians – Bearing and angleDesignation of bearings- Whole Circle Bearing, Quadrantal Bearing -Conversions
3. Local attraction-detection and correction
