You can get an M.Sc. in Polymer Science, not M.Tech. M.Tech will be in Polymer Engineering not Science. Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering are two different majors. The relation between Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering is similar to Physics and Electronics Engineering. Physics gives the basics for Electronics Engineering. But Electronics is not Physics!

Typically, an ‘M.Sc. in Polymer Science’ and ‘M.Tech in Polymer Engineering’ will not have even one subject in common when it comes to their respective syllabus.
M.Tech admission in most colleges is given based on your ‘GATE exam’ score.
