I did my B.Tech in CSE and did one and a half year job in IT in AMDOCS.
In GATE 2013, i got 872(general catefory) rank in CS.I got an interview call from IITB for Geoinformatics. But i am in doubt. My primary interest is in programming and even after my MTech i want to go back to IT world. Now I am confused, should i give Geoinformatics a try, what is it exactly wrt to programming, will it be worth in IT world and what scope and companies i have, will my programming interest be kept, etc..

i am confused btwn IIT tag and my interest..
Please guide.
