I am from Bangalore and have finished IIPUC exams and waiting for results and facing CET also in May 2014. My inclination is totally towards BSc-Biotech-then Msc Biotec and IAS. But many Biotech educated people and some Professors are discouraging that Biotech has no scope . Please guide me correctly.
And also kindly let me know which are the Good colleges for BSc-Biotech in Bangalore.

To study biotechnology engineering most colleges in India such as iits,nits, vit,bits etc ask for maths at 10+2. But there are few exceptions which only ask for biology in 10+2 level. But to study BE or Btech in biomedical engineering / bioengineering / bioinformatics, you should have mathematics at 10+2 level. After doing btech in biotechnology you can do Mtech in biotechnology/biomedical engg/bioengineering/foodtech/biochemical engg)/bioinformatics or you can go for mba. There are very few jobs in industries as biotech engineer, but there are availability of marketing job. People with dedication, determination and patience can go for research.
