The detailed syllabus of electrical wiring and electronic components lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>To have hands on practice on Soldering, de-soldering of circuits and preparation of PCB for given circuits<\/li>\n<li>To get acquainted with the usage of electronic equipment<\/li>\n<li>To test electronic devices and obtain their characteristics<\/li>\n<li>To have hands on practice on Electrical wiring<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Practice on Soldering, de-soldering of circuits and preparation of PCB for given circuits<\/li>\n<li>Operating different electronic equipment<\/li>\n<li>Plot the characteristics ofelectronic devices<\/li>\n<li>Practice on Electrical wiring<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>1.0 Soldering Practice and Preparation of Pcb<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Identifying different components R, L, C, Diodes, Transistors, JFETs,MOSFETs,Relays, Switches etc.<\/li>\n<li>Technique of using soldering iron, Soldering different components and ICs<\/li>\n<li>Soldering components on to general PCB as per the given circuit diagram<\/li>\n<li>Technique of de-soldering using de-soldering pump and wick.<\/li>\n<li>Draw PCB for simple circuits and etch them on to a copper clad sheet<\/li>\n<li>Preparing PCB for soldering and soldering components on the PCB<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>2.0 Study and Use of Electronic Equipment<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Study of RPS units, CROs, Function Generators, Digital Multi meters, Analogmultimeters and other meters using their manuals and write down the steps in using each equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Measure Resistance using multimeterand compare with the calculated value using the colour code.<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Measure L and C using digital LCR meter and compare with the calculated value using thecode.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>3.0 Testing and Obtaining Characteristics of Electronic Devices<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Identify different terminals of diode, zener diode, BJT, FET using multimeter<\/li>\n<li>Obtain VI characteristics of diode<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Obtain VI characteristics of zener diode<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Obtain i\/p and o\/p characteristics of a transistor in CB and CE configurations<\/li>\n<li>Control a load using relay<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Turn On and Off DC load (LED\/Buzzer\/DC motor)<\/li>\n<li>Turn On and Off AC load (Bulb\/Tube light\/Fan)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Arrange PA system with multi speakers and microphones (with cord and cordless)<\/li>\n<li>Obtain drain &amp; transfer characteristics of JFET<\/li>\n<li>Measure the primary and secondary voltages of step down transformer<\/li>\n<li>Wind manually single air core inductor using available wire and measure inductance using LCR meter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>4.0 Electrical Wiring<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Identifying and working with the following tools used in Electrical Wiring<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Wire stripper<\/li>\n<li>Insulation remover<\/li>\n<li>Pocket knife<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Tester<\/li>\n<li>Phillips Head Screwdrivers<\/li>\n<li>Mallet<\/li>\n<li>Rawl plug jumper<\/li>\n<li>Standard wire Gauge<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Identifying and Working with Pliers<\/li>\n<li>Identify and Know the various functions of cutting pliers<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Nose pliers<\/li>\n<li>Pipe pliers<\/li>\n<li>Flush cutter<\/li>\n<li>Top cutting pliers<\/li>\n<li>Electronics pliers<\/li>\n<li>Insulated cutting pliers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>perform the following operations<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Holding<\/li>\n<li>Wire cutting<\/li>\n<li>Component bending<\/li>\n<li>Twisting the wire<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Identification of different wires and cables<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Hookup wires<\/li>\n<li>PVC wire<\/li>\n<li>Teflon wires<\/li>\n<li>single strand v. multi strand<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Wires used for electrical wiring<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Service wire<\/li>\n<li>TRS wires \/PVC Wires (Al and Cu)<\/li>\n<li>single strand<\/li>\n<li>Multi strand<\/li>\n<li>twisted Flexible pair wires<\/li>\n<li>Enameled copper wire<\/li>\n<li>Power cord<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li>Cables used for communication<\/li>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>UTP cable,<\/li>\n<li>Co axial cables<\/li>\n<li>Flat ribbon cable for antennas,<\/li>\n<li>Telephone cable<\/li>\n<li>Ethernet cable vi.
