The detailed syllabus of electronic components &amp; devices laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>To have hands on practice on Soldering, de-soldering of circuits and preparation of PCB for given circuits<\/li>\n<li>To get acquainted with the usage of electronic equipment<\/li>\n<li>To test electronic devices and obtain their characteristics<\/li>\n<li>To have hands on practice on construct simple electronic circuits<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Work with electronic equipment to test electronic components.<\/li>\n<li>Perform soldering and desolderingof electronic components.<\/li>\n<li>Verify the working of semiconductor diodes (PN-junction diode and Zener diode) and its applications (rectifiers).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the transistor as a switch and Obtain the characteristics of BJT (CB, CE) and designing its applications<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the characteristics of FET, LED and LDR.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>1.To Study and Use of Electronic Equipment and Testing of Electronic Components &amp; Characteristics<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Voltmeter, Ammeter, DMM, Analog Multi meter and Regulated Power Supply, CRO.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of DC Voltage and DC current,<\/li>\n<li>Measure the value of Resistor and verify the value with colour coding.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of resistance for three band resistors.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of capacitance of electrolyte capacitors.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of inductance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>2.Soldering Practice and Desoldering Practice<\/h4>\n<p>&#8212;\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>3.Characteristics of Pn Diode, Zener Diode and Rectifiers<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine Knee voltage,<\/li>\n<li>Identify Cutoff, and Linear regions<\/li>\n<li>Connect a 6V lamp in series with diode and test it on DC power supply<\/li>\n<li>Heat the diode with a soldering Iron and observe the effect on reverse current<\/li>\n<li>To draw the forward&amp; reverse characteristics of Zener diode and determine Breakdown Voltage.<\/li>\n<li>Connect resistance ladder circuit (3 resistors) and measure the voltages at the<\/li>\n<li>output by varying input voltage while Zener is reverse biased.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing Half wave rectifier with and without filter<\/li>\n<li>Implementing Full wave rectifier with and without filter<\/li>\n<li>Implementing Bridge rectifier with and without filter<\/li>\n<li>Implementing Voltage Doubler circuit<\/li>\n<li>Connect a diode IN4007 in series with a 230V, 60W Lamp and test it.
