Course Outcomes:
The student shall be able to
- master the key board with blind touch and accuracy
- practise the speed at 15 WPM
- practise the speed at 20 WPM
- practise the speed at 25 WPM
- practise the speed at 30 WPM
Course Content
- Master key board with emphasis on rhythm – Blind touch – Accuracy development.
- Shift key operation – Words – Sentences – Spacing after punctuation – Paragraphing – Two lines and three lines paragraphing.
- Regular practice of speed and accuracy passages at 15, 20, 25, 30 w.p.m. – Practice of speed test at various rates – Speed spurt drills. End Exam at 30 w.p.m. (FIVE DEPRESSIONS OF KEY (STROKES) IS TO BE TAKEN AS ONE WORD).
