Course Outcomes:

The Student Will be able To

  1. State the need for Shorthand in Modern Business organizations and Government Offices.
  2. Write Consonants, Vowels, Grammalogues, Punctuation Marks, alternative forms for Consonants R and H, Diphthongs, Phrases.
  3. Use of circle S or Z, Stroke S/Z, Large Circles, Loops ST &STR , Initial Hooks, Alternative forms and Final Hooks
  4. Apply Circles and Loops to hooked strokes and use Large Hook.
  5. State rules for writing Aspirate, L and SH, Compound Consonants and Vowel Indication
  6. Apply Halving Principle and Doubling Principle
  7. Use Diphones, Medial Semi-circle, Prefixes, Suffixes and terminations and representation of Essential Vowels to outlines
  8. Write Contractions, Special Contractions and make Précis of a passage.
