Strain energy release and stress intensity factor. Some case studies in analysis of creep failures.\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>Unit V<\/h4>\n<p><strong>FAILURE ANALYSIS OF CORROSION AND WEAR\t9<\/strong><br \/>\nTypes of corrosion, Corrosion stress, corrosion cracking, Analysis of corrosion failure. Procedure for analysis of stress corrosion cracking. Effect of Environment. Analysis of corrosion characteristics of metals and alloys in different environment. Types of wear, Role of friction, Interaction of corrosion and wear.
