Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n

To test the principles of human factors engineering in a laboratory<\/p>\n

  1. Effect of speed of walking on tread mill using heart rate and energy expenditure<\/li>\n
  2. Effect of workload on heart rate using Ergo cycle.<\/li>\n
  3. Evaluation of physical fitness using step test<\/li>\n
  4. Effect of work-rest schedule on physical performance (Ergo cycle \/ tread mill)<\/li>\n
  5. Development of anthropometric data for male and female.<\/li>\n
  6. Application of anthropometric data for the design of desk for students<\/li>\n
  7. Evaluation of physical facilities (chairs, tables etc.) Through comfort rating.<\/li>\n
  8. Analysis of noise level in different environment<\/li>\n
  9. Study of Illumination of work places.<\/li>\n
  10. Evaluation of cognitive performance of individuals<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Students should be able to<\/p>\n

    1. Ability to design equipment and the workplace to fit people<\/li>\n
    2. Ability to design the workplace with ergonomics consideration<\/li>\n
    3. Ability to conduct an ergonomic analysis for physical ergonomics topics<\/li>\n
    4. Ability to design the desk and chair considering anthropometric data<\/li>\n
    5. Ability to assess the cognitive performance of the individuals.<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
