INTRODUCTION TO MICROSYSTEMS\tDesign, and material selection, micro-actuators: hydraulic, pneumatic, electrostatic\/ magnetic etc. for medical to general purpose applications. Micro-sensors based on Thermal, mechanical, electrical properties; micro-sensors for measurement of pressure, flow, temperature, inertia, force, acceleration, torque, vibration, and monitoring of manufacturing systems.\n<\/p>\n

Unit II<\/h4>\n

FABRICATION PROCESSES FOR MICRO-SYSTEMS:\tAdditive, subtractive, forming process, microsystems-Micro-pumps, micro- turbines, micro engines, micro-robot, and miniature biomedical devices\n<\/p>\n

Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n

  2. Apply the macro and micro components for fabrication of micro systems.<\/li>\n
