The detailed syllabus of control and instrumentation laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Control and Instrumentation Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To make the students familiarize with various representations of systems.<\/li>\n<li>To make the students analyze the stability of linear systems in the time domain and frequency domain.<\/li>\n<li>To make the students design compensator based on the time and frequency domain Specifications.<\/li>\n<li>To develop linear models mainly state variable model and transfer function model<\/li>\n<li>To make the students to design a complete closed loop control system for the physical systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Analog (op amp based) simulation of linear differential equations.<\/li>\n<li>Numerical Simulation of given nonlinear differential equations.<\/li>\n<li>Real time simulation of differential equations.<\/li>\n<li>Mathematical modeling and simulation of physical systems in at least two fields.\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Mechanical<\/li>\n<li>Electrical<\/li>\n<li>Chemical process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>System Identification through process reaction curve.<\/li>\n<li>Stability analysis using Pole zero maps and Routh Hurwitz Criterion in simulation platform.<\/li>\n<li>Root Locus based analysis in simulation platform.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of transfer function of a physical system using frequency response and Bodes asymptotes.<\/li>\n<li>Design of Lag, lead compensators and evaluation of closed loop performance.<\/li>\n<li>Design of PID controllers and evaluation of closed loop performance.<\/li>\n<li>Discretization of continuous system and effect of sampling.<\/li>\n<li>Test of controllability and observability in continuous and discrete domain in simulation platform.<\/li>\n<li>State feedback and state observer design and evaluation of closed loop performance.<\/li>\n<li>Mini Project 1: Simulation of complete closed loop control systems including sensor and actuator dynamics.<\/li>\n<li>Mini Project 2: Demonstration of a closed loop system in hardware.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  At the end of this course, the students will demonstrate the ability<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To model and analyze simple physical systems and simulate the performance in analog and digital platform.<\/li>\n<li>To design and implement simple controllers in standard forms.<\/li>\n<li>To design compensators based on time and frequency domain specifications.<\/li>\n<li>To design a complete closed control loop and evaluate its performance for simple physical systems.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze the stability of a physical system in both continuous and discrete domains.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">For detailed syllabus of all other subjects of Electrical &amp;
