The detailed syllabus of chemical engineering lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Chemical Engineering Lab<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To practically train on various techniques for reducing and separating of particles, flow properties of fluids.<\/li>\n<li>To test the performance of centrifugal and reciprocating pump<\/li>\n<li>To estimate the HTC for heat transfer through heat exchangers.<\/li>\n<li>To study the reduction capacity of various mills in size reduction of coarse particles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>To determine the pipe friction using Flow through rough and smooth pipes.<\/li>\n<li>To determine the efficiency of pump using Centrifugal pump.<\/li>\n<li>To determine the coefficient of discharge of orifice meter.<\/li>\n<li>To find the efficiency of Air compressor<\/li>\n<li>To Calibrate the rotameter<\/li>\n<li>To find the Pressure drop in packed bed<\/li>\n<li>To study the concept of Fluidization by using fluidized bed<\/li>\n<li>To determine the coefficient of discharge of Venturi meter<\/li>\n<li>To find the Thermal conductivity of solids.<\/li>\n<li>To find overall heat transfer coefficient of the Heat exchanger<\/li>\n<li>To find the Stefan-Boltzman constant<\/li>\n<li>To find the new surface area created by Jaw crusher<\/li>\n<li>To find the critical speed of Ball Mill<\/li>\n<li>To find the Screening efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>To separate the component by Simple distillation<\/li>\n<li>To separate the component by using steam distillation<\/li>\n<li>To find the Particle size and Surface area of filler particles.(Any nine Experiments)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  Upon completing of this course, the students will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply the different technique for size reduction<\/li>\n<li>Attain skill in operating fluid pressure apparatus.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the HTC for heat transfer through shell and tube heat exchangers.<\/li>\n<li>Will be able to apply the different technique for size reduction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>W.L .Mc Cabe, J.C.
