The detailed syllabus of basics of pattern engineering and garment construction laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Basics of Pattern Engineering and Garment Construction Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To train the students in pattern making of apparels.<\/li>\n<li>To train the students in fundamentals of garment construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Equipments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Measuring the dress form kids, male and female.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and grading the basic pattern set for kids top, male shirt and female top.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and grading the basic pattern set for kids bottom, male trouser and female skirt &amp; trouser<\/li>\n<li>Techniques of pattern making (slash and spread, pivoted technique)<\/li>\n<li>Developing basic patterns using Draping methods &#8211; Bodice, Bodice with dart variations, Sleeve<\/li>\n<li>Developing patterns using Draping methods &#8211; Skirt, Cowl Necklines<\/li>\n<li>Developing patterns using Draping methods &#8211; Mens trousers<\/li>\n<li>Preparing samples for stitches &#8211; slip basting, slip stitch, running, back, overcasting, hemming, even basting,<\/li>\n<li>Preparing samples for seams and seam finishes &#8211; Plain seam, double top stitch seam, lapped seam, slot seam, French seam, flat felt seam, pinked finish, edge stitched finish.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing samples for Fullness &#8211; Darts, Tucks, Pleats, Gathers<\/li>\n<li>Preparing samples for Necklines &#8211; French curves, hip curves and vary form curve &#8211; 15 Nos.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern notcher, tracing wheel, awl &#8211; 5 Nos.<\/li>\n<li>Measuring tape &#8211; 30 Nos.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern weights &#8211;
