The detailed syllabus of sensors and instrumentation laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Sensors and Instrumentation Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>To learn about various force, pressure and vibration measuring sensors.<\/li>\n<li>To learn about various Temperature, light and magnetic field measuring sensors<\/li>\n<li>To learn about various displacement and speed measuring sensors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<p>  SENSORS AND INSTRUMENTATION<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Determination of Load, Torque and Force using Strain Gauge.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of the characteristics of Pressure Sensor and Piezoelectric Force Sensor<\/li>\n<li>Determination of Displacement using LVDT.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the Characteristics of Various Temperature Sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the Characteristics of Various Light Detectors (Optical Sensors).<\/li>\n<li>Distance Measurement using Ultrasonic and Laser Sensor.<\/li>\n<li>Determine angular velocity of gyroscope,<\/li>\n<li>Vibration measurement using Accelerometer.<\/li>\n<li>Direction measurement using Magnetometer.<\/li>\n<li>Speed, Position and Direction Measurement Using Encoders.<\/li>\n<li>Force measurement using 3 axis force sensor.<\/li>\n<li>Force Measurement using tactile sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Data acquisition, visualization and analysis of signals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  Upon the completion of this course, the students will be able to;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the various contact and non-contact sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and Identify appropriate sensors for given applications.<\/li>\n<li>Create a sensor system for given requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Equipment List<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Load, Torque and Force using Strain Gauge &#8211; 3 Nos<\/li>\n<li>Pressure Sensor and Piezoelectric Force Sensor- 1 Nos<\/li>\n<li>LVDT setup &#8211; 1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Temperature Sensors measurement setup with RTD, Thermocouple and Thermistor -1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement setup Optical Sensors LDR, Photo transistor, photo diode &#8211; 1 each<\/li>\n<li>Measurement setup -Ultrasonic and Laser Sensor- 1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Gyroscope measurement setup &#8211; 1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Accelerometer measurement setup &#8211; 1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Magnetometer measurement setup -1 No.<\/li>\n<li>Absolute Encoders and Incremental encoder with DSO\/ single board computer- 1 no<\/li>\n<li>DAQ with sensor or transducer -1 set<\/li>\n<li>3 axis force sensor &#8211;
