The detailed syllabus of low and high speed aerodynamics laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Low And High Speed Aerodynamics Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To study experimentally the aerodynamic forces on different bodies at low and high speeds.<\/li>\n<li>To predict different aerodynamic propulsion used in aero application<\/li>\n<li>To study airfoil and wing characteristics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Calibration of subsonic wind tunnel.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate the Pressure distribution over smooth and rough cylinder.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate the Pressure distribution over symmetric aerofoils.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate the Pressure distribution over cambered aerofoils &amp; thin aerofoils.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the forces acting on a model using wind tunnel balance.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the flow over a flat plate at different angles of incidence.<\/li>\n<li>Show the flow visualisation studies in low speed flows over cylinders.<\/li>\n<li>Show the flow visualisation studies in low speed flows over aerofoil with different angle of incidence.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of supersonic wind tunnel.<\/li>\n<li>Show the Supersonic flow visualization with Schlieren system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Experiment with the wind tunnel for wall effect, blockage and support interference on the measurements as well as determining the uncertainty in the measurement technique.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the pressure distribution and forces acting over aerodynamical models.<\/li>\n<li>Explain flow over the aerodynamical model through flow visualisation.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate the limits and usefulness of the experimental approach.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the experimental findings in clear oral and concise report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>List of Equipments:<\/h4>\n<p>  (For a batch of 30 students) S.
