The detailed syllabus of aerodynamics laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Aerodynamics Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To understand pressure distribution and characteristic over an airfoil and bluff bodies due to airflow .<\/li>\n<li>To measure the forces and moments acting on the airfoil at different angle of attack using wind tunnel balance set up.<\/li>\n<li>To visualize the flow pattern over an object by different method.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Calibration of a subsonic Wind tunnel.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of lift for the given airfoil section.<\/li>\n<li>Pressure distribution over a smooth circular cylinder.<\/li>\n<li>Pressure distribution over a rough circular cylinder.<\/li>\n<li>Pressure distribution over a symmetric aerofoil.<\/li>\n<li>Pressure distribution over a cambered aerofoil.<\/li>\n<li>Force measurement using wind tunnel balancing set up.<\/li>\n<li>Flow over a flat plate at different angles of incidence.<\/li>\n<li>Flow visualization studies in low speed flows over cylinders.<\/li>\n<li>Flow visualization studies in low speed flows over airfoil with different angle of incidence.<\/li>\n<li>Flow visualization on bluff bodies using water flow channel<\/li>\n<li>Flow visualization using Hele-shaw apparatus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Calculate the aerodynamic forces and moments experienced by airfoils, wings and bluff bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the performance of thin airfoils with the effects of angle of attack and camber by considering thin aerofoil theory<\/li>\n<li>Measure flow velocity , lift and drag by use of wind tunnel instrument and to Visualize the flow by water flow and smoke methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Equipments:<\/h4>\n<p>  <strong>FOR A BATCH OF 30 STUDENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n  <i>SI.
