The detailed syllabus of biomedical sensors and instrumentation laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Biomedical Sensors and Instrumentation Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<p>  To impart knowledge on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Characteristics of various biomedical sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Different bridge circuits for the measurement of resistance, capacitance and inductance.<\/li>\n<li>Recording and analyzing bio signals.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehension of suitable preamplifiers used for amplifying the bio signals.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and Measurements of physiological parameters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Characteristics of various Biomedical sensors(Pulse sensor, Galvanic skin Response, Glucose sensor, EMG sensor, e-health shield, MQ-3 Alcohol sensor<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of Resistance, Inductance and Capacitance using bridge circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of temperature using thermistor and RTD.<\/li>\n<li>Design of preamplifiers to acquire bio-signals along with impedance matching circuit using suitable ICs.<\/li>\n<li>Design of EEG, ECG amplifiers and Measurement of heart rate.<\/li>\n<li>Acquire and display electrical and biological biosignals on a computer using the appropriate hardware and software tools.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of Blood pressure using sphygmomanometer.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of pH and Conductivity.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of respiration rate.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of spO2 using Pulse oximeter.<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of heart sounds from PCG.<\/li>\n<li>e-Health Sensor Platform V2.0 using Arduino and Raspberry Pi<\/li>\n<li>Study of optical Isolation amplifier<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  At the end of the course the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Apply appropriate measurement techniques. Apply<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the performance characteristics of various sensors &amp; biomedical equipments and infer their safety aspects. Analyze<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the performance of medical instruments. Evaluate<\/li>\n<li>Design portable instruments capable of recording bio signals.
