The detailed syllabus of total station and gps surveying laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Total Station and GPS Surveying Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To train the students to acquire skill in making precise measurements and obtaining accurate results with Total Station and GPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Excercises:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Temporary adjustment of Total station and Angle, Distance and Coordinate measurement<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of Horizontal control point by Traversing<\/li>\n<li>To determine the instrument station coordinate by Resection method (Angles only and Distances only)<\/li>\n<li>Application COGO function: Area, MLM \/ Inverse function, REM and offsets<\/li>\n<li>Planimetric mapping using Total Station<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Contour map using Total Station<\/li>\n<li>Setting out: by Coordinates, by Distance and angle, Points at equal length<\/li>\n<li>Navigation and Feature collection using handheld GPS<\/li>\n<li>GNSS Planning<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy evaluation of baseline with different common observation times<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of Ground Control Point using Static \/ Rapid Static differential GNSS survey by Lee Frog Method<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of Ground Control Point using Static \/ Rapid Static differential GNSS survey by Trilateration method<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Planimetric map using Post Processed Kinematic (PPK) method<\/li>\n<li>Network Adjustment of GNSS observation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>  On completion of the course, the student is expected to<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Gain the basic idea about Total station and GNSS.<\/li>\n<li>Acquire knowledge about establishment of horizontal control point using Total station and GNSS.<\/li>\n<li>Impart Knowledge in preparation of contour map using Total station and GNSS.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the various coordinate geometry function in Total station and GPS<\/li>\n<li>Gain knowledge about Total station and GNSS data processing, network adjustment and Mapping.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Rueger, J.M.
