This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed syllabus for Fluid Mechanics B.Tech 2016-2017 (R13) thirdsem is as follows<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVE:\u00a0<\/strong>To impart to the students knowledge on fluid properties, fluid statics, dynamic characteristics for through pipes and porous medium, flow measurement and fluid machineries<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT I \u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0 [9 Hours]<br \/>\nThe concept of fluid, the fluid as a continuum physical and thermodynamic properties \u2013 basic laws \u2013 Newtorian and non-newtorian fluids \u2013 flow patterns \u2013 Velocity field \u2013 streamlines and stream tubes \u2013 vorticity and irrotationality. The principle of dimensional hormogeneity \u2013 dimensional analysis, the Pi-theorems.
