Conventional and automatic winding machines. Yarn clearing and splicing \u2013 Types of tensioners, guides. Weft winding &#8211; Pirn winding: Types and working principle of pirn winding machines \u2013 bunching, stop motions \u2013 Features of automatic pirn winding machine. Warping &#8211; Beam warping machines \u2013 creels \u2013 features of modern warping machines &#8211; sectional warping machine. Types and selection of ingredients for sizing, Size receipe for various types of fabrics, Sizing machines \u2013 multi-cylinder &amp; hot air sizing \u2013 Methods of drying\u2013 Modern development in Sizing, Single end sizing. Drawing-in and Denting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT II : PLAIN POWER LOOM<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 [9 Hours]<br \/>\nTypes of looms &#8211; Primary, secondary and auxilliary mechanisms of loom, &#8211; Classification of weaving machines. Shedding &#8211; Tappet shedding, Shuttle Picking mechanism \u2013 Beat-up mechanism. Stop motions \u2013 Friction Let \u2013 off motion &#8211; Negative let off and positive let off motions. Take- up motion &#8211; Five wheel take up motion, Seven wheel take up motion, Positive continuous take up motion. Warp protector Mechanisms &#8211; Loose Reed and Fast Reed Mechanisms, Warp Stop Motions, Weft stop motions, temples, lease rods and brake. Weaving faults. Methods of pegging. Negative and positive dobbies. Cross boarder, paper, cam and rotary dobbies. Single lift and double lift Jacquards. Open shed jacquards.
