This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed syllabus for Technology of Woven Fabric Manufacture B.Tech (R13) fourthsem is as follows<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES:\u00a0<\/strong>To enable the students to learn the<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basics of weaving machine and important motions of looms<\/li>\n<li>Selection and control of process variables during fabric formation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNIT I : INTRODUCTION TO WEAVING<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 [9 Hours]<br \/>\nYarns quality requirements for high speed automatic shuttle looms and shuttle less loom; warp and weft preparation for high speed looms; Principle of weaving with hand and power looms, passage of material, motions in loom \u2013 primary, secondary and auxiliary motions, plain power loom driving, timing of motions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT II : SHEDDING MOTIONS<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0[9 Hours]<br \/>\nShed geometry and shedding requirement. Types of shed. Shedding mechanisms \u2013 positive and negative. Principles of tappet, dobby and jacquard shedding mechanisms, reversing mechanism slimitations of various shedding mechanisms; Conventional and modern dobby and jacquard mechanism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT III : WEFT INSERTION AND BEAT UP<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0[9 Hours]<br \/>\nShuttle picking and checking mechanisms, shuttle flight and timing; Weft feeder \u2013 types, Principles of weft insertions in shuttle less looms; mechanism of weft insertion by projectile, rapier loom and jet \u2013 air and water.
