The detailed syllabus of food packaging technology laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Food Packaging Technology Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objective:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  The course aims to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>analyzedifferent kind of packaging materials.<\/li>\n<li>analyze and evaluate different packing characteristics for development of food packages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Identification of different types of packaging and packaging materials<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of thickness of packaging films, papers and boards<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of water absorption of paper, paper boards<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of bursting strength of paper of paper boards<\/li>\n<li>Determination of tensile\/compression strength of given material<\/li>\n<li>Destructive and non-destructive test on glass container, drop test<\/li>\n<li>Determination of wax weights, tensile strength of papers, bursting strength<\/li>\n<li>Determination of WVTR of various packaging materials<\/li>\n<li>Determination of Oxygen Transmission Rate of various packaging materials<\/li>\n<li>Determination of coating on package materials<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of residue migration from package to food<\/li>\n<li>Tests for identification of plastic films.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcome:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  At the end of the course the students will be able to<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>understand the principles and working of refrigeration, air conditioning, and cold chain.<\/li>\n<li>gain knowledge on refrigeration and problem solving ability on types of loads.<\/li>\n<li>design refrigeration and cold storage system for food products.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Robertson, G.
