Plane and Geodetic Surveying Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objective:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize with the various surveying instruments and methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Exercises<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Finding Pace Value of Surveyor using Chaining and Ranging<\/li>\n<li>Computation of Included Angle after adjustment of Local Attraction<\/li>\n<li>Planimetric Mapping of an Area using Plane Table Surveying (Radiation, Intersection)<\/li>\n<li>Fly leveling using dumpy level.<\/li>\n<li>Fly leveling using tilting level.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer of Bench Mark using Check Levelling.<\/li>\n<li>Contour Mapping using Grid Levelling.<\/li>\n<li>Study of Theodolite and Angle Observations by Repetition.<\/li>\n<li>Observation of Angles by method of Reiteration and Station Adjustment.<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of Horizontal Control Points by Traversing.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Planimetric Map using Stadia Tacheometry.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of horizontal distance and height difference between two points by Tangential Tacheometry.<\/li>\n<li>Estimation of Sun Rise\/ Sun Set time using Sun Observations<\/li>\n<li>Determination of Azimuth by Ex-Meridian observation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Course Outcome:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>use conventional surveying tools such as chain\/tape, compass, plane table in the<\/li>\n<li>field of civil engineering applications Prepare planimetric map contour map<\/li>\n<li>Imparts knowledge in computation of Distance and Elevation using horizontal and vertical angles<\/li>\n<li>Establish horizontal and vertical control points.
