The detailed syllabus of heat transfer and refrigeration and air-conditioning laboratory is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Heat Transfer and Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Laboratory<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objective:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  The main learning objective of this course is to provide hands on training to the students in:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Predicting the thermal conductivity of solids and liquids.<\/li>\n<li>Estimating the heat transfer coefficient values of various fluids.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing the working of cooling tower.<\/li>\n<li>Testing the performance of tubes in tube heat exchangers.<\/li>\n<li>Testing the performance of the refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>List of Experiments:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Thermal conductivity measurement of pipe insulation using lagged pipe apparatus.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of thermal conductivity of a composite wall, insulating powder, oils and water.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of heat transfer coefficient of air under natural convection and forced convection.<\/li>\n<li>Heat transfer from pin-fin under natural and forced convection.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of heat flux under pool boiling and flow boiling in various regimes.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of heat transfer coefficient in film-wise and drop-wise condensation.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of friction factor, heat transfer coefficient of cold\/hot fluid and effectiveness of a tube-in-tube heat exchanger.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of Stefan &#8211;
