This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed syllabus for Flight Dynamics B.Tech (R13) fifthsem is as follows<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To study the performance of airplanes under various operating conditions and the static and\u00a0dynamic response of aircraft for both voluntary and involuntary changes in flight conditions<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT I : CRUISING FLIGHT PERFORMANCE \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 [9 hours]<br \/>\nForces and moments acting on a flight vehicle &#8211; Equation of motion of a rigid flight vehicle &#8211; Different\u00a0types of drag \u2013estimation of parasite drag co-efficient by proper area method- Drag polar of vehicles\u00a0from low speed to high speeds &#8211; Variation of thrust, power with velocity and altitudes for air breathing\u00a0engines . Performance of airplane in level flight &#8211; Power available and power required curves.\u00a0Maximum speed in level flight &#8211; Conditions for minimum drag and power required<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT II : MANOEUVERING FLIGHT PERFORMANCE<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0[10 hours]<br \/>\nRange and endurance &#8211; Climbing and gliding flight (Maximum rate of climb and steepest angle of\u00a0climb, minimum rate of sink and shallowest angle of glide) -Turning performance (Turning rate turn\u00a0radius).
