This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced Geodesy B.Tech (R13) seventhsem is as follows<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To impart advanced knowledge in the field of Geodesy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNIT I : GEODETIC CONTROL \u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0[9 hours]<br \/>\nHorizontal control \u2013 characteristics \u2013 method and standards for triangulation, traversing,\u00a0trilateration, inertial and space techniques (Doppler GPS, SLR and VLBI) \u2013 computation \u2013\u00a0problems on spherical coordinates. Vertical control &#8211; characteristics \u2013 method and standards for\u00a0spirit levelling , trigonometrical levelling and space techniques- computations- national networks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT II : GEODETIC COMPUTATIONS \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>[9 hours]<br \/>\nRectangular and Polar Co &#8211; ordinates &#8211; First and Second geodetic problem \u2013 Similarity and\u00a0Helmert\u201fs transformation- methods of point determinations \u2013 problems on intersection, resection,\u00a0arc section and also with over determinations, polar method and its extension.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNIT III: ASTRONOMICAL COMPUTATIONS \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0[9 hours]<br \/>\nVariation in celestial co &#8211; ordinates, Determination of Astronomical Azimuth- stars altitude and hour\u00a0angle methods, astronomical latitude and longitude determination \u2013 sources of errors and its\u00a0eliminations- problems<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=ini.istudy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Download iStudy\u00a0Android\u00a0App for complete Anna University syllabus, results, timetables and all other updates.
