This gives the details about credits, number of hours and other details along with reference books for the course.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed syllabus for Electrical Machines &#8211; I B.Tech (R13) fourthsem is as follows<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To introduce techniques of magnetic-circuit analysis and introduce magnetic materials<\/li>\n<li>To familiarize the constructional details, the principle of operation, prediction of performance, the\u00a0methods of testing the transformers and three phase transformer connections.<\/li>\n<li>To study the working principles of electrical machines using the concepts of electromechanical\u00a0energy conversion principles and derive expressions for generated voltage and torque developed\u00a0in all Electrical Machines.<\/li>\n<li>To study the working principles of DC machines as Generator types, determination of their noload\/\u00a0load characteristics, starting and methods of speed control of motors.<\/li>\n<li>To estimate the various losses taking place in D.C.
