TNEA Application Form 2024

TNEA application form was released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Chennai in July. The eligible candidates will be able to register for TNEA 2024. Before filling out the TNEA 2024 application form, candidates were advised to check the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the conducting authority. The application process involves TNEA registration, application fee payment, and filling in academic details.

TNEA Steps to fill Application Form 2024

• Visit the official website of TNEA 2024 and select the “Online Registration” link.
• Register and obtain a Registration number/Login ID and Password
• Fill in personal and academic details (Name, Mobile Number, e-mail ID, Date of birth, Qualifying Examination, and Confirm Password.
• After successfully entering the above data click “save and proceed”.
• After ensuring all the information entered is correct and relevant, apply and pay the application fees by debit card, credit card, UPI, and other payment options. 
• Take a printout of the filled application form or save it as a soft copy

TNEA Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Candidate should score at least 45% (for the General category) and 40% (for Backward Class / SC / ST / SCA) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th.
• Candidates who have passed 8th, 9th, 10, 11, & 12th Standard from schools situated in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply TNEA 2024
• Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the 8th, 9th, 10, 11, & 12th classes or their equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce the Original Nativity Certificate only in electronic form
• There is no age limit to apply TNEA 2024 Exam
• Candidates who want to apply for marine engineering age is older than 25 years are not eligible to apply
• Children of Central Government Employees / Public Sector or Government recognized Institutions who at the time of submission of application for admission employed in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years may also apply irrespective of their domicil

• Candidates must have passed their intermediate (Class 12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
• The minimum mark required for TNEA admissions is 50% in Class 12th

• The applicant must be above the age of 18 years
• The applicant must be below the age of 25 years.
• As per the TNEA rules, age relaxation provision is present for the reserved category.

1. 10th Mark Sheet (Uploading copy of Original Certificates online)
2. HSC First year Mark sheet
3. HSC Second year Equivalent Mark sheet
4. Transfer Certificate
5. Permanent Community Certificate for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC, and BCM (either Permanent card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate)
6. Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) (if applicable)
7. Income certificate (if applicable)

The candidate who is seeking admission into TNEA 2022 B.E/B.Tech courses and related technical courses must be a native of Tamil Nadu or have completed his/her Intermediate education in Tamil Nadu. In addition to the domicile criteria, the candidate should score at least 45% (for the General category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th.

Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates (A.M.I.E.) and other similar certificates of professional bodies viz. Aeronautical Society of India, etc., recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource, Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.5.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. /B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full-time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidates.

• MBA: Student should pass in bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50%
• MCA: Student should pass in bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50%
• MCA Lateral Entry: Student should pass in a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A or B.Sc (Computer Science / Information Technology) and obtained at least 50%
• M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan: Student should pass in a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% in the qualifying degree examination.

Note:
1. Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E./B.Tech. and M.C.A degree courses.
2. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. Degree obtained through Distance / Weekend mode Programmes are not eligible.
3. Candidates with Degree obtained without studying 10th Std., 12th Std. or 3 years Diploma and 3/4/5 years degree programme are not eligible.

TANCET 2024 Entrance Test Fee-Only through Online

Candidates have to pay 600/- ( 300/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) towards the entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either 1. M.B.A. (or) 2. M.C.A. (or) 3.M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. degree programme. A candidate registering for more than one programme has to pay 600/- ( 300/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) for each additional programme online only.

Candidates can register online only by filling up the application and submitting the same along with a good quality recently taken photograph

1. Click the ‘Registration’ link in the menu bar.
2. Click the ‘Register’ link
3. Provide the required information and press the ‘Next’ button.
4. Now you receive a TANCET secret key on your mobile, which you have to retain till you successfully complete the application process.
5. Now login using the credentials, and provide other required details.
6. In the end, you will be asked to confirm the details. Kindly verify the details and confirm.
7. Now it takes you to the payment page. Do the payment online. However, those who claim fee concession under SC/ST/SCA categories should upload the community certificate before moving to the payment page.
8. On successful completion of payment, click the ‘Status Check’ link in the menu bar.
9. Application status can be viewed there.
10. Now, click the ‘Print Application’ button, which generates a copy of the application in pdf format.

TANCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria, Registration and Important Dates for the Students who seek admission to M.B.A., M.C.A. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. for the academic year 2020-2021

TANCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

MBA :Student should pass in bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50%
MCA :Student should pass in bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50%
MCA Lateral Entry :Student should pass in recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A or B.Sc (Computer Science / Information Technology) and obtained at least 50%

M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan :Student should pass in recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained atleast 50% in the qualifying degree examination.

Note:
1. Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E./B.Tech. and M.C.A degree courses.
2. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. Degree obtained through Distance / Weekend mode Programmes are not eligible.
3. Candidates with Degree obtained without studying 10th Std., 12th Std. or 3 years Diploma and 3/4/5 years degree programme are not eligible.

GATE Categories for M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan.

Students who apply for admission to full time M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. degree programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Planning will be grouped as given below.
1. Candidates who have a valid GATE 2018, GATE 2019 and GATE 2020 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology
2. Candidates who have a valid GATE 2018, GATE 2019 and GATE 2020 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers should appear for TANCET 2020 also.

TANCET 2020 Registration for Entrance Test

Candidates can register through online only by filling-up the application and submitting the same along with a good quality recently taken photograph.

TANCET 2020 Registration Process

1. Click the ‘Registration’ link in the menu bar.
2. Click the ‘Register’ link
3. Provide the required information and press ‘Next’ button.
4. Now you receive a TANCET secret key in your mobile, which you have to retain till you successfully complete the application process.
5. Now login using the credentials, and provide other required details.
6. At the end, you will asked to confirm the details. Kindly verify the details and confirm.
7. Now it takes you to payment page. Do the payment online. However, those who claim fee concession under SC/ST/SCA categories should upload the community certificate before moving to payment page.
8. On successful completion of payment, click ‘Status Check’ link in the menu bar.
9. Application status can be viewed there.
10. Now, click ‘Print Application’ button, which generates a copy of the application in pdf format.
11. Take printout of the generated application for your reference only, and not submit this copy to the Centre.
12. Now the process of registration is successfully completed.
