Indian Institute of Technology Ropar invites applications for admission to various departments for M.Tech. The departments are Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. But I see only Department of Mechanical Engineering is asking for applications. Eligibility for M.Tech: B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc.(Engg.)/M.Sc. in respective or allied area with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score; B.Tech. Graduates from IITs with an overall minimum CGPA of 6.5. Candidates of General and OBC category must have secured at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale at the qualifying degree level; but for SC/ST/PD category candidates, this percentage is 55% or 5.50 CGPA on a 10 point scale. The aggregate marks awarded for the qualifying degree will be considered for eligibility.
Eligibility for a specialization within a Department may depend on the candidate’s choice of test paper in GATE.
